FPC has a growing youth group that meets every Sunday night as well as occasional meetings at other times and places. We focus on having relevant, in-depth discussions about the culture, the church and its history, doctrines and ideas found in Christianity, and Bible passages.
We also have a great music group. Sometimes we spend more than half our time on music! We sing songs with depth and substance, often upbeat versions of older hymns. We highly encourage youth group members to bring any instruments they play. Currently, we have a piano, several guitars (both electric and acoustic), a banjo, a flute, a saxophone, a violin, and less than enough voices.
Our youth group often has activities outside of our regular meeting time - from movie nights and canoe trips to fundraisers (like car washes, talent shows, and church breakfasts) to help pay for our other activities and our longer trips. We also try to help in the community as much as possible, such as by serving each summer as counselors at the Dyersburg Union Mission day camps.
Twice a year, we take longer trips- one to the Youth World Awareness Weekend (YoWAW) at the Ridge Haven Center in Brevard, NC every February, and another to the Covenant Presbytery Youth Conference (CPYC) at Victory Ranch near Bolivar, TN every December. Some also attend the Reformed Youth Movement (RYM) summer conference at Estes Park, Colorado.

Come join us!

Don't forget about Sunday School at 9:30AM each week!
